Our Expertise

We develop novel, cutting-edge interventions using non-invasive brain stimulation, a medical intervention that can help normalize brain function. Find out more at our Non-invasive Neuromodulation Lab (NNL) webpage.

We also promote the experience and backgrounds of a diverse team of experts for the individual care and development of the optimal intervention for each child.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a painless, non-invasive technique used to stimulate the brain. TMS is already an available treatment for adults with depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The Neuromodulation Core is evaluating the use of TMS as a new treatment for children and teens with conditions like Tourette syndrome, OCD, depression, autism, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

TMS Robot

Name the TMS Robot Contest

The new TMS Robot at MIDB is one of only a  handful in the U.S. and 1 of 40 in the world!  The Intervention Core invited the community to celebrate with us by sponsoring a “Name the TMS Robot Contest”.  Learn more about the TMS Robot here.

Jane and Dr. Conelea

Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics and TMS study

Chronic tics are a disabling neuropsychiatric symptom associated with multiple childhood-onset psychiatric disorders, including Tourette Syndrome(TS) and OCD. Dr. Conelea’s team is testing the use ofTMS) to help young people with TS control their tics. Learn more about the experience of a research participant in Dr. Conelea’s CBIT+TMS study!

The Neuromodulation Hub is appreciative to have the support from MnDRIVE Brain Conditions.
